READ OUR NEWSLETTER

Hello Everyone,

Spring is here, and we’re excited to announce a week of season openings for our three farmers markets, and tell you about some of our new vendors. Our Rosedale market opens in a week, on Sunday, May 16th, from 9am-1pm, located as usual in the Commerce Bank parking lot at 4020 Rainbow Blvd, KCK, 66103.

In addition this year, we’ve teamed up with The Merc Co+op to improve and expand our Strawberry Hill / Downtown KCK market to two market day, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Those markets will be opening on Wednesday, May 19th from 8am-1pm and Saturday, May 22nd, also from 8am to 1pm. These markets have moved 3 blocks to their new home at The Merc Co+op Parking Lot: 501 Minnesota Ave, KCK 66101

All of these markets take Debit, Credit, EBT/SNAP, and Cash. Also, EBT/SNAP users can double their money at the market using Double Up Food Bucks!

We will also be accepting the Senior Vouchers this year (KSFMNP) and I’m hoping we’ll be able to help sign people up and distribute them at our markets again. This process will most likely start the second week of June, so don’t worry, you haven’t missed it yet.

Anyways, we've got several new vendors including Lonnie from Beverlin's Little Piece of Paradise, specializing in meats, eggs, and vegetables; Alexander from My Father Was a Jam Maker specializing in artisanal jams and jellies; and Brian from Broomcorn Johnny's and Morty's KC, running a handcrafted hot-dog stand and selling handmade brooms as well. There are also several other new vendors I'll be highlighting in emails to come.

Almost all of our past year's vendors are returning, including Bryan from Mushroom Culture KC, Mediatrice from Roots for Refugees, and Alan and Brenda Mondaine from 63rd St. Produce.

Compost Collective KC will be running a compost bin swap on Saturdays, and you can sign up for your home compost service with them at the market.
El Centro will be back at the market this year, providing outreach and vouchers to the market.

And we're hoping to have more concerts and special events throughout the season. Stay tuned!

There's a lot of good things going on at the KCK Farmers Market this year! Come on out this week for our opening and see us!
